ORDINANCE 02-2020 was approved. This legislation is our new annexation policy. Any property that is annexed will be zoned RR-3 which allows agricultural uses as well as residential single family homes as 1 unit per 3 acres.
ORDINANCE 03-2020 was approved. This legislation authorizes salary adjustments for the police department as well as the funding of a new service department laborer position.
ORDINANCE 08-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the borrowing for a new plow truck.
ORDINANCE 09-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the borrowing for a salt storage building.
ORDINANCE 10-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the borrowing for paving of Westview Drive.
ORDINANCE 11-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the borrowing for a new 500,000 gallon water tower and waterline to SR 310/SR 161.
ORDINANCE 12-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the borrowing for a fixing the Valleyview sewer line and upgrade the Jersey Street sewer line.
ORDINANCE 13-2020 was approved by emergency. This authorized the consolidation of prior ordinances to allow for one bond issuance.
ORDINANCE 04-2020 was introduced. This would increase water service rates by 5%.
ORDINANCE 05-2020 was introduced. This would increase water debt service rates by 5%.
ORDINANCE 06-2020 was introduced. This would increase sewer service rates by 5%.
ORDINANCE 07-2020 was introduced. This would increase sewer debt service rates by 5%.
ITEMS TO NOTE:
US 62 Construction Update: Weather dependent, it looks like April 1 will begin the final 60 day road closure from Williams Street to the first entrance of the Post office. Prior to and following the closure, there will be work on the project with one lane restrictions.
S. Kasson Street, Westview Drive and S. Oregon Street will all be under construction at some point this spring/summer. We’ll post updates when the work is ready to begin.
On February 25 I’ll be presenting to the Johnstown-Monroe School Board during their work session about the creation of a joint recreation district. The meeting is in Room 102 at the high school beginning at 6:30.
