SCHOOL BUILDINGS TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR REMAINDER OF 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR
Governor DeWine announced that students will continue to go to school remotely for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. At this time, no decisions have been made regarding whether or not schools will reopen in the fall.

JOHNSTOWN PD TO DISTRIBUTE FREE HAND SANITIZER
The Village of Johnstown, Ohio Police Department has partnered with Apeks Supercritical by GIBRALTAR to distribute free hand sanitizer to those who are considered most vulnerable to infection of COVID-19. Those individuals are defined as (1) Elderly individuals or (2) Individuals with serious underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, and those whose immune system is compromised such as by chemotherapy for cancer and other conditions requiring such therapy.
Apeks Supercritical is providing the hand sanitizer at absolute zero cost to the community! Supplies are limited so please be patient.

LOUD VEHICLES / NOISE ORDINANCE
We’ve received numerous complaints in North Main Street / Leafy Dell neighborhood about extremely loud vehicles in the area. The Chief of Police is aware of the situation and targeted enforcement will begin. We won’t tell when for obvious reasons.
JOHNSTOWN POINTE BEGINS CONSTRUCTION
The green fence at 383 W. Coshocton Street indicates construction has begun on the 81 -bed Johnstown Pointe Transitional Care Facility. The project received its final approval from the Village Planning & Zoning Commission on February 25th.
The proposed structure will be approximately 58,000 square feet and will be constructed as a single story, protected wood frame building.

VILLAGE PARKS ARE OPEN
US 62 ROAD CLOSURE
Revised date of closure..the first day of complete closure has been moved to May 20. The road will be closed to all traffic (except for home access). The closure will be from Williams Street to the Post Office and last 60 days.
